This poster sets out Anglesey’s journey, starting with looked after children in schools and developing a common language across children’s services, voluntary and statutory agencies and embedded in the communities of the island itself. This journey is founded on a strengths-based approach which builds into the connection, engagement, civic assets and the natural resources of the people and the island itself, to create a positive psychosocial environment and a high level of community resilience. There are exciting developments planned and underway for the future as Anglesey moves forward to realising its vision of a whole system approach, looking beyond behaviours to understand anyone can experience adversity and trauma in their lives, and rooted in empathy and compassion.
