This online course discusses topics that you may find upsetting. Many of us have experienced adversity and trauma in our lives; or know friends, family or colleagues that have. Sometimes we are not aware of how talking about adverse childhood experiences and traumatic events may make us feel. So, it is important to take a break, or leave the course at any point, if you feel you need to.

Please participate with care and be kind to yourself and before you start familiarise yourself with where you may be able to get additional support if you need it. In the workplace you should also speak to your line manager, or employee assistance programme if you are not sure what help your organisation provides for you.

Due to the subject of the training, it is not suitable for children to be present in the room if they can hear or see any of the content or discussions. And please be aware of any other people in your household or vicinity who may overhear.
